The Unite Black and White Mission Statement:
- To finally break the perpetual cycle of condemnation and division that has prevented black people from achieving the same quality of life as white people in the U.S. since 1619.
- To spark a new revolution of unification by using social media to enlighten people about how race relations got this far out of hand and to appeal to everyone’s logical thinking, patience, and forgiveness with the Unity Pledges.
- To lead the nation with action steps to bring the relationship between blacks and whites to what it would’ve been had slavery and the Jim Crow segregation laws never existed.
What will the White Person's Pledges Accomplish?
- They will help people understand the obstacles to success that black people have faced, and are still facing in this country, due to slavery and the Jim Crow segregation laws. They are asked to acknowledge the unbalanced start for white people.
- They ask the taker to assess if they’ve believed any of the lies about black people’s character passed down to them by family, friends, or society
- Teach people about how harmful the Jim Crow minstrel shows were to black people and ask them to stop perpetuating the hurt with black jokes
- Ask white people to unify with black people, even if that means they are going against what they’ve been taught
- They ask white people to imagine a new, fully blended America with all of us achieving prosperity together

- Asks black people to trust that the white people who took the pledges have a sincere desire to unify and achieve prosperity together
