Taking these 5 pledges will prove that you are ready to:

  • Be patient a little longer as this movement educates the public
  • Start forgiving the unacceptable actions of the past
  • Imagine a new fully unified America

It only takes about one minute to complete all five pledges below (unless you explore the logic & songs/videos)

Unification between blacks and whites is a longstanding and complex issue.  These simple pledges can’t address or fix everything, but they’re a place to start building a new, prosperous America together 

You’re encouraged to view the White Person’s pledges as well.  It’s understood that most people’s heritage isn’t “black and white”.  We don’t mean to exclude anyone.  Please take the pledges that most closely fit your background 

It’s not the intention of these pledges or this movement to imply that any individual is currently or ever was a “racist”.  The goal here is to educate and to encourage everyone to look within themselves to see if they still harbor any resistance to reconciliation and unification.

Black Person's Pledge #1: Not knowing the Whole Story Results in Apathy

I pledge to be patient with the white population about their lack of understanding of how severe the obstacles against black people have been, because most whites were not taught the whole story of black history in school or by their parents.

Black Person's Pledge #2: Years of exposure to Propaganda Takes Time to Dismantle

I pledge to be patient with the white population, who must unlearn the lies about black people’s character that most of them were exposed to growing up.

Black Person's Pledge #3: People can Change

I pledge to be cautiously optimistic about the ability of most white people to realize they were tricked into believing lies about black people’s character, and that black people will soon reach the level of respect in this country that they should have been receiving all along.

Black Person's Pledge #4: We will Achieve Prosperity Together

I pledge to completely unite with the white population socially and in business, and to understand that this unification does not mean that I am disrespecting my heritage.

Black Person's Pledge #5: Not all, but Most White People are Ready to Make this Right

I pledge to believe that the “Unite Black and White” movement is a sincere effort to unify black and white people, and to improve the quality of life for all black people who have been or are still being challenged or traumatized by the unfair treatment of the past.
